In October 2005 the EMBRACE PINK FOUNDATION was founded because LGBT emancipation needed powerful initiative, renewal, commodification and project based operations. That’s why our subtitle says: FRESH AND FRUITY LGBT-FOUNDATION. And our slogan ‘We get everything out of the closet’, is a Dutch saying with two meanings. Of course the meaning ‘coming out of the closet’ but also ‘we make every effort’ and that is exactly what we do!
EMBRACE PINK is a Foundation, Fresh and Fruity, for sexual diversity and LGBT emancipation for Northern Brabant, one of the 12 provinces of the Netherlands. The location of our office is Tilburg, which is the area where we mainly operate. Tilburg is the sixth big city of the Netherlands.
With many business partners we fight for more acceptance of sexual diversity and for a 100% integration of homosexuality. With over 50 volunteers we cover three working areas; Support, Consultancy and Projects. Our support team mainly focuses on promotion of interests, providing information, coming-out guidance and a meetingpoint. Our consultancy team is handling educational requests; information meetings, workshops and trainings for interested schools, companies and organizations. Our project team tries to better the position of gay people by organizing short term activities in cooperation with funds and authorities.

Roughly, what do we offer?
InfoPoint
We offer information and support. Usually someone will answer your mail within 24 hours. It is also possible to require information or support by phone. We’ll try to answer the phone, but sometimes it’s just not possible. Leave a message after the tone and we’ll get back to you asap. And please… allow us some sleep at night!
InfoChat (every Wednesday)
Every Wednesday evening from eight till about ten O’clock you can visit our chat. Fire your questions to our volunteers, have a funny conversation or ask for a serious talk. You can stay completely anonymous if you like. Everyone is welcome to join and if the chatroom is a bit to crowded, just start a private conversation. It’s okay to chat in English!
Meetingpoint (every Wednesday)
On Wednesday during the opening hours of our chat, the office will be open for visitors. Staff will be there for all kinds of conversations. So if you need a serious answer, like to get some information, just want something to do, like to meet LGBT people, just pop in after eight O’clock. And there will be many people to keep you company. There is also room for a private conversation if required. Every Wednesday there will be staff around with good English conversational skills.
Face-2-Face talk (if not on Wednesday evening, on appointment)
Make an appointment (by mail or phone) with our members of staff if you’d like to have a conversation. Find a time that suits you and our staff and tell us on forehand if you’d like to have some particular information, maybe we can pre-arrange something. It is no problem at all to have a conversation in English!
Groups
For all different ages (youngsters, people in their thirties, elderly people) we offer groups. A group will get together in a couple of meetings and talk about serious stuff, but will also have a lot of fun. They will get some information, coming-out guidance and often it will result in long-lasting friendships. Do not withdraw because of language issues. We will find a way to work around this ‘problem’. Everyone is welcome to join and characteristic for our previous groups is the respect that everybody has for their fellow group mates.
Trans Tilburg

Roze Maandag (Pink Monday)
Tilburg has a huge fair every year, and traditionally the biggest LGBT event of the Netherlands (350.000 visitors) is situated on the Monday during this event. EMBRACE PINK is an important partner for this event.
